One of the biggest struggles new moms face while transitioning to motherhood is how they feel about themselves. Not just as mothers, but who they are now. The transition is mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. Your body has changed and there’s no “going back” to how it was before. It might be even better, it might be different, but you’re not the same. Your body is not the same. You created life! Keep scrolling to hear the body image stories of some Sacramento postpartum moms.
The topic of postpartum body image is a very important one, and one of my favorite sections in my online postpartum preparedness program, Navigating Postpartum: An Essential Guide to Mom’s 4th Trimester & Beyond.
In the Body Image section of the program, we explore this transition into a new self, share body affirmations and positivity and you can find The Sacramento Postpartum Body Project, a video sharing the photos and audio stories of new Sacramento, California area moms as they navigate postpartum and their bodies. Each mom has a very different story and outlook on their transition. It’s amazing to hear how their body image has affected other areas of their lives, but also how completely relatable each one of these new moms is to any mom.
These stories are truly important, so I wanted more families to get a chance to hear and see them, without having to be in my online postpartum preparedness program. So, for a limited time, I’ve released The Sacramento Postpartum Body Project as a free resource! Simply follow this link to join the conversation, watch the video and read the after-video questions for FREE. I hope you enjoy this content as much as I do and that it gives you an idea of what to expect from Navigating Postpartum: An Essential Guide to Mom’s 4th Trimester & Beyond in general.
